Students from the schools in Pomorie actively participated in separate waste collection campaigns organized under the project. The activity aimed at promoting environmental education and sustainable behaviour among children and young people. During the campaign, a total of 1800 kg of recyclable waste were collected in yellow bags intended for separate collection of paper, plastic and metal.
In recognition of the active participation and responsible attitude towards environmental protection, the schools received awards – bicycle racks, which will encourage students to adopt a more ecological and healthy way of transportation.
As part of the project, elementary school students also received a booklet “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!”. Through accessible and interesting content, the publication introduces children to the importance of waste reduction, reuse and separate collection in everyday life.
The initiatives aroused great interest among students and showed that when children are motivated and informed, they can be active participants in caring for nature. The project aims to build sustainable habits and an ecological culture from an early age, encouraging a responsible attitude towards the environment and an active civic position.
