Two mobile ecostations for separate waste collection delivered in Pomorie

Two mobile ecostations purchased under the project “Holistic Approach to Waste Management in the Transition to a Circular Economy”, co-financed by the LIFE programme of the European Union were delivered in Pomorie. They are designed for separate waste collection at organized events and concerts with a large number of participants. For the first time, they will be used during the Pomorie holiday – St. George’s Day, when thousands of residents and guests of the city gather in one place. Work on their installation and equipment is underway as of today. One ecostation is located next to the St. George Monastery, and the other – near Svetlina – 1939 Community Center. Each ecostation has six openings for separate disposal of metal (cans), glass bottles, paper, plastic packaging, food and mixed waste.

Two stationary ecostations are also to be installed in Svoboda district, which has been selected as a pilot area for the project.

The Municipality of Pomorie calls on us to use the mobile ecostations for separate waste collection according to their intended purpose, not only to set a good example for our children, but also to keep our city cleaner and more welcoming.
