Within the framework of the project, students from Ivan Vazov Secondary School in Pomorie visited the Waste Transfer Station, managed by Ecobulpack Bulgaria and located near the village of Ravda.
The initiative is part of the project’s activities and aims to promote environmental behaviour and engagement of young people in waste
prevention and separate collection.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the facilities, the processes of receiving, separating and transporting waste, as well as the role of separate collection in environmental protection. Experts from the station presented the work on the facilities and answered the students’ questions related to waste recycling and treatment.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to students to learn through direct observation why we separate household waste and what happens to
the waste after it is collected. They demonstrated great interest in the topic and actively participated in the discussion dedicated to environmental challenges and good practices for circularity in waste management.
